ABACUS//Car Park is a playful, colourful dance installation that behaves like a multi-player game where it’s the taking part that counts. Audiences play an active role in triggering the dancers with their own walking or running in the space. The dancers’ movements reveal patterns and relationships in response to the audience – come and explore the possibilities!
Janine Harrington’s work is broadly concerned with relations between the analogue, the digital and embodied knowledge. She works with live performance installation, video and books, using transposition to create playful situations that draw on ubiquitous images and use familiar modes of navigation in novel contexts.
